Other Information

Please note the following information:

    • Once we are married, we will both be keeping our names the same. Hugh will remain Hugh Burton and Jayne will remain as Jayne Stringer, so we would prefer not to be called ‘Mr. and Mrs.‘ Therefore, we would prefer to be known as husband and wife, or wife and husband, or the ‘newlyweds‘.
    • There will be a confetti opportunity after the wedding ceremony. Please do bring confetti but ensure that this confetti is from a sustainable source and definitely not plastic.
    • Hugh’s best man is Mike Burton, his brother, and his usher is Phil McDaniel, Jayne’s uncle.
    • Jayne’s best woman is Charlotte Sortwell and the best man is Keith Gillespie. Jayne’s bridesman is Phil Mann.
    • For the wedding breakfast, you will be assigned to a table, for which the tables and respective seating will be listed on a table plan at the venue.
    • The dress code is whatever makes you happy and comfortable.

  • There will be two photographers throughout the day. They will be taking posed and natural shots – so be prepared to have your photo taken.
  • There will be a band and a disco in the evening. The band are The High Rollers, an acclaimed local band.
  • There are toilets available very near the Great Hall and Orangery and additional toilets nearby should those toilets become busy.
  • There are steps to get to the Great Hall and Orangery but there is also a stair lift. There are steps into the Orangery but also a ramp. Please let us know if you have any accessibility concerns and we will do our best to resolve these.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do let us know. We hope that you have a wonderful time celebrating with us.
